Wright Stuff Kits

About Wright Stuff Kits

Wright Stuff Kits designs and laser-cuts rubber-powered indoor free-flight kits for Science Olympiad competitors. The instructions cover the parts most kits skip: making the rubber motor, winding, and trimming for long flights.

Every model in the shop was designed by a student competitor who took 1st and 2nd place at the MIT Science Olympiad in the 2025 and 2026 seasons. These are the airplanes that won, turned into kits.

Each kit includes parts for two airplanes so you have a backup on competition day.

Kits are designed to the Division C 2027 Flight rules. Read the current rules and event details at soinc.org.
